SAPA works throughout Sudan, providing vital medical assistance to those facing poverty, who are unable to afford the care that they require.
There are over ten million people in Sudan who need medical care. With a frail healthcare system and hospitals facing shortages of essential medicine and medical supplies. Patients continue to arrive in need of urgent care. The situation is worsened by outbreaks of diseases such as malaria, hepatitis E, and dengue fever also increase needs for healthcare assistance.
Sapa is dedicated to relieving the struggle of Sudanese people through our hospital renovation projects, improvements of healthcare infrastructure and provision of medicine and medical supplies to affected areas where it is needed.
Sudanese American Physicians Association (SAPA) is a not-for-profit, scientific professional, non-partisan, and humanitarian membership-based organization established in January 2019, by physicians of Sudanese descent living and working within the United States to provide support networking, education among physicians within the United States as well as collaboration with physicians and healthcare organizations in Sudan and abroad.
