Deadly clashes between the Sudanese army and a paramilitary group have broken out in the capital Khartoum. Civilians have already lost their lives, and with the violence continuing, many more are at risk.
The fighting erupted unexpectedly, leaving citizens of Khartoum stranded on their way to work and school. With neither side willing to back down the situation is desperate for the residents of this beleaguered city.
