Amidst the challenges faced by the healthcare system, the South Asian Pediatric Association (SAPA) has stepped in to provide unwavering support to Elbuluk Hospital, ensuring that its critical services reach those who need it the most.
At SAPA, we are deeply committed to improving healthcare accessibility, especially for vulnerable populations like children. Our ongoing collaboration with Elbuluk Pediatric Hospital embodies this commitment, aiming to provide essential medical services to children in Sudan.
Our partnership with Elbuluk Pediatric Hospital began in July 2023 with the goal of bolstering primary healthcare and nutrition services for pediatric patients.
Strengthening our efforts, UNICEF joined our initiative in November 2023, amplifying the scope and impact of our healthcare programs in the region.
In a short span, the hospital has served nearly 1148 patients, offering critical healthcare services. Additionally, approximately 122 antenatal consultations have been provided, ensuring the well-being of expecting mothers. Furthermore, 454 children have received essential immunization services, fortifying their defenses against preventable diseases.
During the months of November and December 2023, Elbuluk Hospital witnessed a significant surge in its operations, thanks to the comprehensive service packages facilitated by SAPA. The primary focus was on enhancing primary healthcare and nutrition services within the hospital and its outpatient clinics. This initiative aimed to address the pressing health needs of the pediatric population in the area.
In November 2023 alone, the hospital recorded a substantial increase in patient numbers, reflecting the growing demand for quality healthcare. The outpatient clinics buzzed with activity as they catered to the diverse healthcare needs of the community. The services extended beyond conventional medical care, encompassing vital aspects of health and nutrition.
During the subsequent month, December 2023, Elbuluk Hospital continued its commendable work, providing care to an astounding 1148 patients under the age of five. This highlighted the hospital’s crucial role in ensuring the well-being of the youngest members of society. Among the various services rendered, the hospital conducted 122 antenatal consultations, contributing to the maternal health of the community.
In recognition of the importance of preventive healthcare, Elbuluk Hospital prioritized immunization services. A total of 454 children received essential vaccinations, safeguarding them against preventable diseases.
