SAPA: Nourishing Sudan’s Future

Fighting Child Malnutrition in Sudan

With 25.6 million people facing high levels of acute food insecurity and 14 areas at risk of famine, SAPA is on the frontlines addressing this critical crisis. Our nutritional programs target the most vulnerable: children under 5, ensuring they receive the essential nutrition they need to survive and thrive.

Our Nutritional Programs

SAPA’s intervention focuses on providing comprehensive nutrition support to children in states severely impacted by war, including Khartoum, Red Sea, and Northern State. Through our network of hospitals, primary health centers (PHCs), and mobile clinics, we are reaching thousands of children with life-saving nutritional aid.

Areas of Operation

Khartoum: Our programs in the capital city focus on both urban and peri-urban areas, where the conflict has disrupted food supplies and healthcare access.

Red Sea State: We are working in remote and coastal regions, addressing the acute nutritional needs of children who are most at risk.

Northern State: Our efforts extend to this region, providing support to communities isolated by conflict and famine conditions.

How We Help

Hospital Support: SAPA supports several hospitals in the affected states, ensuring they have the necessary resources to treat malnourished children.

Primary Health Centers (PHCs): Our work with PHCs allows us to reach more children with essential nutrition services and medical care.

Mobile Clinics: To reach the most remote and inaccessible areas, SAPA operates mobile clinics that bring critical nutritional support directly to those in need.

Impact of Our Work

Our nutritional programs are making a significant difference in the lives of children across Sudan. By providing therapeutic foods, essential vitamins, and medical care, we are helping to combat malnutrition and prevent famine conditions from worsening.
