How to Start a Peer-to-Peer Fundraiser for Sudan: A Simple Step-by-Step Guide

Creating a peer-to-peer (P2P) fundraising campaign is a powerful way to support life-saving efforts in Sudan. By starting your own campaign through the Sudanese American Physicians Association (SAPA), you can rally your community and make a direct impact.

Here is a simple, step-by-step guide to setting up your fundraiser on the SAPA website.

How to Start Your SAPA Peer-to-Peer Fundraiser:

Step 1: Visit the Campaign Page

Navigate to the SAPA Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Page and click the “Start Fundraising” button to begin the process.

Step 2: Choose Your Fundraising Style

You have three options for how you would like to participate:

  • Join a Team: If you have friends or family already raising money, you can join their existing team to help them reach their goal.
  • Fundraise as an Individual: Start your own solo campaign to show the “power of one”.
  • Create a Team: Take the lead by starting a brand-new team and acting as the team captain.

Step 3: Register Your Account

Once you have selected your style, you will need to create an account to manage your page:

  1. Enter your First and Last Name.
  2. Provide your Email Address.
  3. Create and confirm a secure Password.
  4. Click “Register” to finalize your profile.

Step 4: Personalize and Share

After registering, you can set your personal fundraising goal and share your story about why supporting Sudan matters to you. Once your page is live:

  • Share your unique link via social media, text message, or email.
  • Invite others to join your team or donate to your cause.
